In the frames of the European Political Community’s meeting in Granada, PM Dimitar Kovacevski met his Dutch counterpart, Mark Rutte.
The support from the Netherlands, which is among the biggest bilateral donors of North Macedonia and has helped in continuity in the reforms of multiple spheres, including democracy, the rule of law, and judicial reform, was highlighted at the meeting, North Macedonia’s Government said in the press-release.
Regarding the EU path, Rutte stated that North Macedonia had come very far, adding that it had to make the last step for sooner integration. In Granada, the PM also met his Irish counterpart, Leo Varadkar, too. The latter expressed his country’s firm support for North Macedonia’s EU integration.
Skopje has waited for too long on the membership path, Varadkar assessed. When it comes to the meeting itself, Kovacevski took part in the roundtable on digital transition and AI. He underlined the importance of proper positioning regarding companies working in the AI industry.
