PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski stated on Wednesday that people would be held to account for the trash problems in the capital. As he noted, in the first 72 hours of his term as Skopje Mayor, Orce Gjorgjievski will carry out a so-called spring-cleaning activity in Skopje.
“That will be followed by accountability”, the PM stressed.
Mickoski again apologised to citizens for his party’s decision to endorse the current Mayor, Danela Arsovska, in the 2021 local elections. However, on social media, Arsovska stated that she too was apologising to citizens in relation to Mickoski.
“Let me, too, now apologise to citizens for having thought you were honest, a professor, and an intellectual, for not having known what you really were. I wasn’t the one that brought the administration employees to the City of Skopje”, she stressed.
The Mayor also stated that Mickoski and the local administration sector were to blame for the four-year blockade of the city by the Council head and VMRO-DPMNE Council members.
