Mickoski Announces Laws on Judiciary & Caretaker Cabinet Concept Annulment

The new majority in Parliament is planning to submit several draft-laws, including ones to regulate the Judicial Council, the Council of Public Prosecutors, and the new manner of election, as well as to annul the caretaker cabinet concept, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said on Wednesday.

As he explained, that’s part of the Platform 1198 programme. Only that way can the country develop, the future PM designate stressed.

“We’re talking about the caretaker cabinet. As early as before the elections, we had a clear and precise stand that there was no need for a caretaker cabinet. Unfortunately, then, we didn’t have support from the then-ruling majority.  One of the laws will be about that. Also, there are the laws that should open the front against corruption, that is, the laws regulating the Judicial Council, the Council of Public Prosecutors, and the new manner of election, for that to be an election by judges and prosecutors themselves. For there to be no political interference,” he stated.
