PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski currently sees no reason to meet SDSM leader Venko Filipce.
Regarding the latter’s call for above-party consensus over key state issues and unblocking the integration path, the former said on Thursday that they’d already met once.
“Well, OK, I’m often invited to leaders’ meetings. If there was a need for a leaders’ meeting, I don’t see why we would organise one. However, currently, I see no reason why another leaders’ meeting would be organised”, Mickoski added while answering a journalist’s question.
Regarding Bulgaria, the same day, Mickoski said that the issue was not only about the constitutional changes.
“Let’s make an attempt, with that attempt being for the EP, by a majority vote, to adopt a decision or a resolution or part of a report clearly acknowledging the Macedonian identity and language as distinct”, he noted.
