PM Hristijan Mickoski, commenting on the recent statements of Hungarian PM Peter Magyar about the enlargement of the EU, said that Magyar did not refer to the Western Balkans.
“I am certain that when Magyar commented that Hungary does not support accelerated EU accession, he did not mean the Western Balkans. I think he was talking about other countries. He has already stated, in many previous occasions, that Hungary supports the integration of Macedonia in the EU”, Mickoski said.
Asked to comment on the recently opened investigation over the bank that approved the Hungarian loan of EUR 1 billion for North Macedonia, Mickoski said that that is an internal affair of Hungary, and that the entire procedure about the lone was transparent and legal.
