Mickoski to Use Constitutional Name during Swearing-In Ceremony

In an interview with Sitel on Tuesday, PM-designate Hristijan Mickoski said he would use the country’s constitutional name during his swearing-in ceremony.

“The constitutional name of the country is clear. We shouldn’t have double standards, feel irresponsible before citizens or mislead them. It is known what the constitutional name is, the one with the adjective,” he said.

Mickoski will also use the constitutional name during visits abroad.

“However, in everyday use and when making statements in this country, I will use the name ‘Macedonia’. We cannot ask citizens to respect laws if we break them ourselves,” Mickoski noted.
