VMRO-DPMNE has never been more united, the party’s leader Hristijan Mickoski has assessed. “Over the past two days, I have received huge support from the people.
I am now convinced that we can win 61 MP seats in the next elections,” he said on Thursday, answering a journalist’s question about the developments in relation to ex-PM Nikola Gruevski.
Regarding the constitutional changes, Mickoski’s stand remains, that is, the 44 MPs have an identical stand because they believe the decision is right, not because they are forced. Mickoski once again denied that he had had secret meetings over the Criminal Code changes.
The same day, Gruevski said on social media that party members, activists, and everyone part of the leadership should not fall for devastating strategies and should think on their own.
“There are a lot of ways in which you can express loyalty to the party without becoming part of dishonest games,” the ex-leader of the party noted.
