VMRO-DPMNE MP and Vice-President of the Parliament of North Macedonia Antonio Miloshoski responded to the reaction of the Chinese Embassy in Skopje over his recent meeting with representatives of Taiwan in Skopje, saying that the official policy of Skopje towards China remains unchanged.
“Macedonia’s official policy toward the People’s Republic of China remains unchanged: we respect the one-China principle and its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Elected MPs have the right to meet any well-intentioned individuals or delegations to exchange views on international issues and to stress that peaceful dialogue is always better than military tensions or conflict. In that spirit, and in gratitude for their support of the University Children’s Clinic, I and MPs Rachela Mizrahi and Fatmir Bytyqi met representatives of the Taipei Representative Office in Rome”, Miloshoski said.
