Mining Concessions and Brvenica Runoff Debated at Q&A Session of Parliament

The issue of mines was among the key topics at the Q&A session of Parliament, held on Thursday. SDSM MP and leader Filipche asked whether the Government supported the plan to open the Kazandol, Ilovica-Shtuka, and Luke mines. In that regard, he accused the ruling majority of selling off state land for mines despite open opposition from the local population.

PM Mickoski pointed out that the Government would do nothing contrary to the interests of citizens.

MP Skender Rexhepi of the DUI-led coalition raised the issue of the Brvenica local elections, accusing the authorities of violating the constitutional rights of ethnic Albanians and forging unprincipled alliances. PM Mickoski maintained that citizens voted according to their own convictions rather than along ethnic lines.
