Minister Andonovski and Interior Ministry Respond to Saab’s Comments

On Tuesday, Digital Transformation Minister Stefan Andonovski, in response to the comments by Venezuela’s Attorney General (AG), Tarek Saab, that the attack on the electronic system that had slowed down the vote count in the presidential election had come from North Macedonia, said the socialist regime had for years often presented information not backed by evidence and accused concerned sides and countries not responsible for such cases.

As he added, though his Ministry is not an investigative organ, it is closely following the process and will be committed to nobody being accused in the country without evidence.

The same day, the Interior Ministry said there hadn’t been a request from Venezuela for checks. As the institution added, even if there were North Macedonia IP addresses, that doesn’t mean the attack came from the country.
