Minister Mincev Annuls Predecessor Aliti’s Decisions over Balancer Tool

Public Administration Minister Goran Mincev has annulled decisions by predecessor Admirim Aliti and corrected percentages over the Balancer tool.

Now, the level of representation of ethnic Macedonians within institutions needs to increase from 54.21% to 58.44%, while the level of representation of ethnic Albanians needs to fall from 29.52% to 24.3%. The changes are according to the law, Mincev stated on Friday.

Also, he said the tool had been often abused, adding that the matter would be looked into.

Commenting on Mincev’s decision, VLEN said ZNAM staff had wrongly assessed that they would be creating their own political basis on the basis of an anti-Albanian doctrine.

However, VLEN’s Mexhiti said on Sunday he was optimistic that his coalition and ZNAM would overcome the misunderstandings. According to ZNAM, VLEN should study the current laws.
