Minister Mincev Comments on Equitable Representation Draft Law Issue

There are two options when it comes to implementing the matter of equitable representation in laws.

The first, Public Administration Minister Goran Mincev said on Monday, is the draft-laws concerning administrative servants and training, including also from a vocational standpoint, which are being considered, while the second is introducing a separate law that will be considered by Parliament.

“Currently, the Ministry is not drawing up such a law. That shouldn’t be rushed. I still haven’t seen a draft version from our coalition partners, but I hope and am convinced that the government has the political capacity to find a law that will at the end be sent to the Venice Commission in order for it to be a quality and applicable one so that we are not again put in a position in which the Constitutional Court abolishes certain articles or provisions of existing laws,” he added.

According to Mincev, despite the letters sent by DUI leader Ali Ahmeti to PM Hristijan Mickoski and foreign politicians, non-adoption of the law will not jeopardise the country’s security.
