On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski held a protocolary meeting with the new members of Skopje’s team in the frames of the North Macedonia-Bulgaria Joint Commission on Historical Affairs.
“The Ministry, with all its capacities, is at your disposal in the process of responsible and unimpeded further carrying out of your regular activities. Decisions and discussions within the Commission should be guided on the basis of scientific arguments and with full respect for academic freedom,” he said.
Mucunski, the Ministry also stated in the press-release, highlighted his personal commitment to there being independence with regards to the Commission’s decision-making, without any political influence and pressures. A new meeting of the Commission will have been held by the end of October.
