Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski held a meeting on Tuesday with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler.
There was a discussion on, as the Ministry said, the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, as well as on North Macedonia’s EU path and importance of speeding up the process, which would contribute to economic development and improving the rule of law and fight against corruption.
“Minister Mucunski expressed gratitude for the continued support from the US in the country’s reform processes and democratic development. Opinions were exchanged on bilateral relations and opportunities to strengthen them in the frames of the Strategic Dialogue. At the meeting, the strong alliance within NATO and joint orientation to defend democratic values, especially in the context of the current security challenges, was reaffirmed,” the institution added.
