Ministers of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine to Boycott OSCE Ministerial

The Foreign Ministers of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia, Margus Tsahkna, Gabrielius Landsbergis, and Krisjanis Karins, respectively, have decided to boycott the OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje due to the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“For the past two years we have witnessed how one OSCE participating State has actively and brutally tried to annihilate another. Let us be very clear: Russia’s war of aggression and atrocities against its sovereign and peaceful neighbour Ukraine blatantly violate international law, including the United Nations Charter, and constitute an attack on the OSCE and its underlying principles,” they said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, too will “boycott the OSCE ministerial meeting over the decision to allow Lavrov to attend,” the country’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Oleg Nikolenko, told AFP. The Ministry itself issued, a statement.
