Education Minister Jeton Shaqiri is ready to withdraw the communication sent to him last week for primary schools to work on two Saturdays because of the non-working days during the double elections.
The Ministry is trying to find alternatives following reactions from parents and the Trade Union of Education, Science, and Culture.
The decision by Shaqiri for primary school students to go to school on 18 May and 1 has been described by primary education workers as discriminatory because it applies only to them, that is, it covers neither secondary schools nor higher education institutions.
