Mitovski-Bulmak 2016 Accusations Continue over Kriva River, Mayor also Files Charge

According to Kriva Palanka Mayor Sasko Mitovski, the analysis carried out by an accredited laboratory for the needs of the Municipality, as well as the one carried out by the Kumanovo office of the Public Health Institute, for the needs of the Mrena Fishing Association, have shown similar results with regards to the Kriva Reka case.

He points out that the results are alarming, that is, the River has been seriously polluted with manganese, zinc, lead, and cadmium. Therefore, he’s filed a criminal charge against Toni Tonevski, manager of Bulmak 2016.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has said that it is carrying out pre-investigative proceedings. Tonevski says he hasn’t been summoned so far, adding that it is the Mayor that should be summoned instead.

The State Environment Inspectorate has stated that though each analysis it received had been handed over to prosecutors, the factual situation would be determined through independent experts, who’d been given a 15-day deadline to submit a report.
