MPs Enter Premises of ANS after Allegations for Illegal Following of People

The members of the Parliamentary Committee on Supervision of the Work of the National Security Agency (ANS) entered the agency’s premises Wednesday morning in order to conduct inspection in relation to the recent allegations that ANS illegally followed PM Hristijan Mickoski and other people between 2019 and 2024.

GROM MP Ljupco Prendzov said that the aim of the supervision conducted is to discover whether and which measures have been used in the illegal following, saying that efforts need to be made so that cases like this one do not happen again in future. SDSM MP Slavjanka Petrovska said that she addressed several questions to the ANS staff.

“For example, the briefings we got about this case mention a polygraph specialist, so I asked what happened with them, are they still employed, were they dismissed or quit voluntarily. Also, what happened with the head of the internal control department and why were they replaced? I have so many questions, but due to the classified nature of the information, I will not be able to provide the answers”, Petrovska said.
