Museum Collection for Independence Day Officially Open

PM Hristijan Mickoski and Culture Minister Zoran Ljutkov officially opened on Sunday evening the new collection at the Archaeological Museum, dedicated to the Day of Independence of North Macedonia.

“The opening of this new collection is not just a mere act of culture, but a strong message that Macedonia greatly values its history and turns it into a light leading us to the future. Through this, we allow our citizens, especially the younger ones, and all tourists, to feel the greatness of the heritage that we possess.

The previous government neglected this segment for 7 years, but now we show that in our vision for the country, there is no room for neglecting important areas. We have no intention to neglect our culture, our history, our identity. The archaeology is the witness of the creativity, development and persistence of our ancestors. Investments in museums and promotions like these are in fact our investments in the preservation of our culture and identity”, Mickoski said.
