New Detention Measures Issued in Gjorcevska and Zezovski Murders

Four of the suspects in the Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski murders, Vlatko Kesisov, Velibor Manev, and Bore Videvski, who have confessed, and Gjorcevska’s father, Aleksandar Gjorcevski, who has denied involvement, have each been issued a 30- day detention measure.

Also, Ljupco Palevski’s lawyer, Vasko Stojkov, who drove the principal suspect from Skopje to Belgrade on November 30, was detained on Wednesday. Prosecutors will decide on Thursday whether they will seek a detention measure against him.

Regarding Zezovski, prosecutors said that on 22 November, four of the suspects, after a previous agreement, grabbed him from his home in Veles. The goal was to force him into giving up his car in order for them to use it to kidnap Gjorcevska. Then, they killed him near Rudnik village and buried the body in a pit.
