New Reactions to Disrespecting of Minute’s Silence at Shkendija-Brera Match

The Shkendija football club may face serious action over the scandalous behaviour by part of its supporters, who didn’t respect the minute’s silence that was being observed before the match against Brera in memory of those killed in the Kocani fire.

Some sports media, citing the Football Federation’s Rulebook, have reported that the club will face a suspension of 12 matches, that is, it will play that many games outside of Tetovo, as well as a fine of 5,000 euros. However, the club itself said the minute’s silence hadn’t been respected by around 20 individuals, whereas the majority of supporters had observed it.

“At the stadium, there were around 3,000-4,000 people in the stands, whereas a group of just 20 individuals demonstrated irresponsible behaviour that doesn’t represent the feelings, solidarity, and respect of the majority of supporters that were in attendance”, it added.
