New Round of Accusations between VMRO-DPMNE and Ex-Culture Minister

On Monday, VMRO-DPMNE MP Mile Lefkov again said his party was urging Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojcevska to explain why she had abused taxpayer money during her term as Culture Minister during a visit to London in October of last year.

According to the ruling party, over a four-day period, she spent 714 pounds in taxpayer money on, inter alia, soccer balls, teddy bears, suitcases, socks, and tights even though the official limit of the card is 60 euros.

“To the Ministry’s accounting, she submitted also the checks covered by her with taxpayer money,” the VMRO-DPMNE MP added.

In response, Kostadinovska-Stojcevska stated again that VMRO-DPMNE was trying to tarnish her two-year term as the Minister by lying to the public. The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), on its part, said it was opening a case over the Kostadinovska-Stojcevska case.
