The names of all parties that will be part of VMRO-DPMNE’s pre-election coalition will have been known by the end of this week.
According to VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski, other parties, in addition to the ones that have left the ruling coalition, have announced they will join. However, there are also parties that VMRO-DPMNE rejected because they didn’t share the same values.
“We expect VMRO-DPMNE, on its own, to win 61 MP seats. We will discuss the issue of a ruling coalition after the elections,” Nikoloski pointed out on Tuesday.
The VMRO-DPMNE Vice President is his party’s MP candidate list carrier in Electoral District 4, where he will square off against SDSM’s carrier, Venko Filipce.
The ex-Health Minister said he had no leadership ambitions. However, he is convinced that SDSM will win the elections.
On the other hand, in the event of a defeat, in Filipce’s view, the party leader, Dimitar Kovacevski, and leadership will decide personally on potential resignations and will also need to be accountable to the party’s organs.
