President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova is leading North Macedonia’s delegation during a visit to the US.
The delegation which comprises also Foreign Affairs and Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski and Deputy Prime Minister and Environment and Physical Planning Minister Izet Mexhiti, will be part of, inter alia, the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79).
The President is scheduled to address UNGA 79 on Thursday. The delegation started the visit on Saturday in New Jersey, where it attended a liturgy on the occasion of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God held at St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishopric.
“It’s not a coincidence that Macedonians are a biblical people. That will always follow us,” she stated.
Also, the President said the visit would be the first step with regards to continued communication with the diaspora.
