One Suspended and Six Prison Sentences Issued in Chain Case Trial

Following the plea deals, the Criminal Court issued on Tuesday one suspended and five prison sentences in the Chain case. The six defendants were charged with tax evasion, money laundering, and criminal association.

Principal defendant Saso Vuckov was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, while his father was sentenced to two years in prison and issued a 1,000-euro fine. Vuckov’s mother was sentenced to 11 months in prison and issued a 1,000-euro fine.

The other two defendants that had entered a plea deal were each issued a two-year-prison sentence and 1,000-euro fine. Just one of the six people that had entered a plea deal was given a suspended sentence.

Six companies whose representatives had entered a plea deal too were issued fines and issued a ban on participating in public calls and concessions.

The process will continue against the remaining 11 defendants. The process, according to the charge, concerns tax evasion of around eight million euros.
