OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Bujar Osmani expects all ministers to attend the Ministerial Council in Skopje.
As he said on Wednesday regarding the issue of participation of Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, the EU’s decision on overflights by Russian planes doesn’t concern events of multilateral nature such as the OSCE. He stated that all visa requests for countries for which visas were required had been processed.
Asked whether NATO needed to approve Lavrov’s arrival, Osmani said there was no need for consultations because the alliance was not part of the OSCE.
When it comes to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Osmani said again his participation was expected.
“I haven’t had indications so far that he will not come. So, we’re getting ready for the US Secretary of State to come,” Osmani stated.
