On Thursday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto paid a visit to Skopje, where he met his counterpart, Bujar Osmani.
As the Hungarian politician said, it should be admitted that the EU has been seriously weakened, while its position should be solidified through reason. He pointed to Bulgaria as the main halter on North Macedonia’s EU path.
According to Osmani, the European Commission’s Report notes that Skopje hasn’t lagged behind the EU and is at a solid level. Now, he added, strong will for unity is needed.
Szijjarto also criticised the increase of the gas fees by Bulgaria. Both Ministers consider that such a step is negatively affecting economies.
Szijjarto and Osmani didn’t talk about a potential extradition of ex-PM Nikola Gruevski because, as they explained, that is up to the two countries’ judicial organs and Justice Ministries.
