Osmani: Greece has Fulfilled Essential Obligations Stemming from Prespa Deal

Greece has fulfilled its essential obligations stemming from the Prespa Agreement, that is, it lifted the veto, which saw North Macedonia join NATO, and is lobbying for its northern neighbour in the EU, while the northern neighbour changed its name. That’s the essence of the Prespa Agreement, according to outgoing Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.

Over the other obligations in relation to the two Parliaments, consensus cannot be reached. As Osmani said on Thursday, Greece’s last obligations are the ratification of the memoranda and replacement of two-three traffic signs.

However, he added that North Macedonia hadn’t adopted the laws to change the names of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Macedonian Radio-Television either.
