The resigning Mayor of Kocani, Ljupco Papazov, as well as his two predecessors, Nikolco Ilijev and Ratko Dimitrovski, have been detained in connection with the Kocani nightclub fire, Kanal 5 has learned.
The information has been confirmed by Interior Ministry sources, the TV station said in its 7:17 pm report. The Prosecutor’s Office has said an operation is underway to detain people suspected of involvement that will last during the night, adding that it will present more information after it ends, on Friday (21 March).
