Tuesday saw Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi deliver an address at the 2 nd Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Prague.
“As an EU membership candidate, the Republic of North Macedonia believes EU institutions will maintain the perspective of enlargement with all remaining candidate countries as a credible and visible process that’s based on merits, considering also current geopolitical security challenges,” he stated.
According to the press-release, he underlined the importance of preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, condemned the holding of the illegal elections by Russia on the temporarily occupied territories, and highlighted the need to consistently shed light on the major abuse of human rights, violation of international humanitarian law, and Russia’s denial of civil and political rights in Ukraine.
