Pendikov Case: Two Defendants Each Sentenced to Eight Months in Prison but Motive of Hatred not Proven

A verdict has been reached in the trial over the January 2023 physical attack on Hristijan Pendikov, the former secretary of the now-defunct Tsar Boris III Bulgarian club.

The two defendants, Borce Angelov and Ilija Spaseski, were each given an eight-month prison sentence by the Ohrid Basic Court for inflicting a severe bodily injury.

However, the Court ruled the motive of hatred hadn’t been proven. Both defendants have a right to appeal the verdict before the Bitola Court of Appeals.
