On Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski called on all MPs to support the law proposed by his party that will extend the validity of passports and IDs containing the previous constitutional name, in line with the decision on the driving licences, that is, until 31 December 2024.
Also, he praised the “timely reaction” of caretaker Interior Minister Pance Toskovski over the driving licences because “somebody had left drivers high and dry”.
The same day, VMRO-DPMNE MP Bojan Stojanoski said his party would file the announced criminal charge against ex-Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski over the personal documents matter on Thursday. According to SDSM MP Nenad Kocic, however, the only goal of Toskovski is to create chaos.
As he added, VMRO-DPMNE has used the situation and made citizens feel unsafe and endangered. Nonetheless, Maksim Dimitrievski’s party, ZNAM, too, said it would file a criminal charge against Spasovski.
