PM Answers Journalists’ Questions on EU Path and DUI’s Demand for Elections

On Saturday, answering journalists’ questions, PM Hristijan Mickoski said that the country had to “make it and will make it”, adding that he based his optimism on all meetings so far with world leaders since the start of his term.

Regarding his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Budapest, he stated there had been an essential dialogue focusing focused not only on the EU path, but also on many common projects in areas such as the economy, health, and infrastructure.

With regards to the statement by Enlargement Commissioner-designate Marta Kos, made during the hearing at the European Parliament, when she said North Macedonia was expected to make the constitutional changes, the PM said he understood it considering she had been supposed to pass the hearing filter.

As far as DUI’s demands for early elections are concerned, Mickoski stressed that he understood the opposition’s politicians’ “impatience” because he had a feeling that “problems for certain politicians from the opposition related to major abuse committed in the past” were yet to come.
