A delegation of the Government of North Macedonia, headed by PM Hristijan Mickoski, paid an official visit to Belgrade, Serbia, where they attended the 3rd international fair for wine, food, brandy and tourism “Wine Vision by Open Balkan”.
In Belgrade, at the sidelines of the fair, PM Mickoski had a bilateral meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, discussing with him current conditions and possibilities for economic cooperation between the two countries.
“We discussed economic and infrastructure projects, with a focus on the construction of the Budapest-Belgrade-Skopje-Athens railway that would link up Central and South Europe, as well as improvement of the trade exchange and cooperation in the energy sector. I am especially thankful for the fact that North Macedonia is one of the key partners in the Open Balkan initiative, which has become a symbol of strong regional cooperation and networking in the Western Balkans. Our common goal is a better future for all citizens, whereas cooperation through Open Balkan and other projects remains a solid foundation upon which we build the region’s future. I am certain we will continue to develop relations in the spirit of friendship and partnership,” President Vucic said in an Instagram post.
PM Mickoski also attended the special event at the fair organised for promotion of wines coming from North Macedonia.
“The Macedonian wines are among the best ones in Europe, and fairs like this one are an excellent opportunity for their promotion and conquering new markets. I am quite certain that they will become an irresistible part of every table in the European households,” Mickoski said.
