On Sunday, regarding Rapporteur Thomas Waitz’s draft report, PM Hristijan Mickoski called on the EP, as he said, not to succumb to pressures and not to accept the amendments concerning the Macedonian nation’s continuity. According to him, there was strengthened diplomatic activity by Sofia to prevent the adoption.
However, Mickoski added that he and Foreign Minister TimcoMucunski had had an organised activity.
“I managed to contact everyone in Brussels. I think we’ve managed to buffer the blow that someone was trying to deliver on the Macedonian identity and language”, the PM noted.
