On Monday, PM Hristijan Mickoski reiterated his stand regarding the constitutional changes, that is, he said they should enter into force once the country joined the EU.
According to him, the Negotiating Framework can be changed if there is a will to do so.
Asked about the issue of citizens of North Macedonia with a Bulgarian passport, Mickoski said the majority of them had obtained the document for financial reasons.
Asked whether he would call on citizens with a Bulgarian passport to renounce it, the PM said it was an individual decision. Asked about the judiciary, he stated that the government was ready to discuss the model of reforms proposed by it, as well as to hear a new one.
“I am in favour of the judicial reforms happening right away and the judiciary, right away, trying, bringing justice, and not having a rating of 2%,” the PM stressed.
Asked about VLEN’s initiative to found an ethnic Albanian academy, Mickoski said the stand of his party, VMRO-DPMNE, was clear.
“The Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts exists. It consists of scientists from different ethnic communities,” he stressed.
