On Wednesday, ahead of the start of the working part of Day 2 of the NATO Summit in Washington, PM Hristijan Mickoski said his country was ready to contribute at the event to everything that represented value.
“We are here together with our Allies to confirm our commitment, both so far and in the future, to promoting peace, stability, and the rule of international law,” he stated.
As Mickoski added, his government wants to be shoulder to shoulder with Allies.
“We remain committed to meeting the obligations, that is, to a minimum of 2% of the GDP being invested in modernising our Army,” he stated.
Sitel reported that Mickoski had used the words ‘Macedonia’ and, as an adjective, ‘Macedonian’ four times. According to the official program of Greek PM Mitsotakis for yesterday, a meeting with Mickoski is not foreseen, media reported at around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Also that day, Kanal 5 reported Mickoski had been among those greeted by US President Joe Biden and outgoing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the Summit.
