PM Mickoski Disagrees with Council of Public Prosecutors President’s Stand

Council of Public Prosecutors President Dusica Dimitrievska strongly believes the body headed by her shouldn’t be disbanded.

“We do quality work and are elected by our fellow prosecutors,” she said on Friday.

According to the Council, continuity of work, legal changes, eliminating corruption in the ranks, not earthquakes, is what is needed. Dimitrievska said that liability had to be individual, not collective.

However, PM Hristijan Mickoski disagrees with that. He said Council members had become too comfortable within their positions even though their rating was 2%.

According to him, his party’s programme provides for liability, accountability, and seeing what work has been done so far, that is, it doesn’t foresee “comfortable” positions.
