PM Mickoski in Interview with Sitel

In an interview with Sitel on Wednesday, PM Hristijan Mickoski said that the cases concerning the 2021 Tetovo hospital fire and the 2019 Laskarci bus crash would be opened, adding that authorities would go all the way to get an answer as to what had gone on.

As he pointed out, “either Macedonia and its citizens or the mobsters” will win.

Regarding the controls of hospitality venues, he stated that they had up to that point covered 60-70, even those with valid licences.

“However, more than half don’t meet minimum technical conditions to operate”, the PM said, adding that more than 80% of those facilities would be shut down.

He expects inspection controls to finish in 1-2 weeks, after which it will be known which facilities are safe.

“Those that will proceed with operations means they 100% meet minimum prescribed conditions”, Mickoski underlined.

In the interview, the PM stressed that the Interior Ministry had been tasked with adopting a conclusion or regulation or a legal document banning the use of pyrotechnics and flammable things indoors.
