After the end of Day 2 of the NATO Summit, PM Hristijan Mickoski said his country’s delegation had had a dynamic day that had seen many meetings on the sidelines of the event.
“Today, we talked to the Montenegrin PM, Croatian President, and Hungarian PM. Sure enough, I would highlight in this regard also the meetings with Italian PM Meloni, Spanish PM Sanchez, who was with me, I would say, next to me at the dinner organised by US President Biden, and his spouse, Jill Biden,” the PM said in a video posted on social media on Wednesday.
Mickoski also met Albanian PM Edi Rama, as well as Bulgaria’s caretaker PM, Dimitar Glavchev.
“I can say that I sent several messages, with the most important one being that for a long time, the region and Macedonia, as a country, have been held hostage by the best. We need to focus on the future and what follows it. To make Macedonia, but also the Balkans, pride again. To be good neighbours, understand one another, and cooperate. That’s what citizens expect of us, that’s what I, as the PM, will be focused on in the coming years,” Mickoski stated.
The second message sent by him, he added, is that the time of yielding, corrupt politicians “from Macedonia”, ones that are ready to do everything to protect their corruption and crime, is over.
