PM Mickoski on Kocevski Issue and DUI’s New Accusations at Mexhiti

Asked on Monday whether the Government would consider and accept, at its session on Tuesday (25 February), the proposal to dismiss Ljupco Kocevski as Chief Prosecutor, PM Hristijan Mickoski said the cabinet could only initiate the proceedings, not dismiss him.

“From what I have as information, the communication is required to be sent to the Council of Public Prosecutors”, he stated.

Regarding DUI’s suspicions over 1st Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti, who also serves as Environment Minister, over allocation of funds for projects in culture considering that, according to Ali Ahmeti’s party, Sarana Ademi, Chief of Staff at Mexhiti’s party, Democratic Movement (which is part of VLEN), has been appointed a member of the Music Activity Commission, the PM stated that he had faith in his fellow cabinet member, adding that if DUI had evidence of unlawful activities, it should submit it.
