In response to Judicial Council President Aleksandar Kambovski’s stand that MPs cannot dismiss members of the institution headed by him and that such proceedings can only be carried out within the Council itself, PM Hristijan Mickoski said on Wednesday that dismissals had been announced as a measure due to the extremely low level, 2%, of confidence in the judiciary, adding that all legal options were being considered in terms of how to carry that out within the legislative house.
“We’ve said it would be one of the measures we will take to improve the court-prosecutorial system in the country because all of you will agree that it’s at an extremely low level 2%”, he said, answering a journalist’s question, adding that it was illogical for Parliament not to be able to dismiss those that it elected.
