PM Mickoski Says He’s not Given up on Idea to Disband Two Councils in Judiciary

“The thesis that the EU has bent my arm and I am giving up on disbanding the Judicial Council and Council of Public Prosecutors is not true,” PM Hristijan Mickoski said on Tuesday.

According to him, he will adhere to the measure until, as he said, a better proposal comes.

The existing laws, the PM also explained, are the reason why the Growth Plan and Reform Agenda say that the new members of the Judicial Council will replace those whose mandates have expired.

The document, previously obtained by Telma, needs to be signed by Mickoski and European Affairs Minister Orhan Murtezani by mid-September in Brussels.

Previously, SDSM, citing the document, said that VMRO-DPMNE had been caught in a lie.
