PM on North Macedonia-Ukraine Comparisons and Caretaker Cabinet Issue

PM Dimitar Kovacevski said on Friday there shouldn’t be comparisons between the EU process of North Macedonia and Ukraine because every country was a separate case.

As he added, Ukraine doesn’t have a bilateral dispute because it is under attack, while Hungary was not present at the vote, it didn’t vote against. Regarding the caretaker cabinet concept, the PM said he expected to soon meet VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in a tete-a-tete format, not “at a pompous leaders’ meeting”. VMRO-DPMNE said an announcement about a meeting with the PM still hadn’t arrived.

“The decision on VMRO-PDMNE’s participation in the caretaker cabinet will be made next week,” the party stated.
