PM Says Five Judicial Council Members have Lost Entire Credibility

On Wednesday, the five members of the Judicial Council that hadn’t survived the no-confidence motions in Parliament the previous day, Vesna Dameva, Selim Ademi, Tanja Cacarova-Ilievska, Milazim Mustafa, and Pavlina Crvenkovska, were at work, saying again that they’d given their all in the job.

On the other hand, PM Hristijan Mickoski stated that he expected them to resign.

“At the very least, I expect moral responsibility and them to leave the positions they’ve captured because parliamentarians, those that elected them, have clearly said that they’ve lost their entire credibility”, he noted.

On the other hand, SDSM said there shouldn’t be attempts to particise the judiciary under the guise of reforms. However, Deputy Minister of Justice Alen Dereban described the successful motions as a very serious indicator, stressing that the members had contributed to the low level of citizen confidence in the judiciary and no longer had legitimacy to hold the positions they did.
