On Monday, upon previously received operational data of photos taken of a voter registry and ballot papers for the first round of the presidential election, police searched the home and auxiliary premises of two persons from Ohrid, 51-year-old M.M. and 44-year-old T.C.T., election board members nominated by a political party.
“During the search, two mobile phones were found on which there were photos of a voter registry containing personal data of voters in the registry, photos of ballot papers whose number is circled, which had been sent by voters as proof that they had supported a candidate.
Afterwards, they were shared in a group created for communication on a mobile app for communication. A conversation was held with the two persons in a police station. Additionally, other persons have been summoned today to secure additional evidence materials,” police said on Tuesday.
Police are also taking measures to solve a case formed on the basis of an anonymous tip about a potential election bribe case in Kicevo.
