At Monday’s presentation, in Parliament, of Poland’s EU Presidency’s priorities before members of the European Affairs Committee and National European Integration Council, Polish Ambassador Mariusz Brymora stated that the enlargement policy remained at the centre of attention.
As he pointed out, integration of countries from the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe will contribute to the continent’s security. Establishing lasting peace and providing military and financial assistance when it comes to Ukraine remains a priority, the Ambassador noted.
The Committee’s Chair, VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonijo Milososki, stated that the EU had to focus on improving transatlantic dialogue and relations with Washington as a strategic partner of Skopje.
On the other hand, the opposition again levelled criticism of the government’s foreign policy, that is, SDSM leader and MP Venko Filipce, who heads the Council, again criticised North Macedonia’s decision to abstain over the Ukraine resolutions at the UN.
