Politicians and Parties Send Macedonian Language Day Messages

“We have an all-Macedonian, national, and human duty, as Macedonians, to safeguard, study, and promote Macedonian because without it, it will not be alive, nor will we be Macedonians,” President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova said at the marking of Macedonian Language Day.

Culture and Tourism Minister Zoran Ljutkov, said caring about Macedonian was an act of modern patriotism.

However, the same day, SDSM said the government headed by VMRO-DPMNE had for nine months failed to implement any provision of the Macedonian Language Use Law, whereas VMRO-DPMNE stated, “Those that would sell national interests, history, culture, as well as the language, out are now pretending to be concerned”.
