Politicians Extend Greetings for Orthodox Christmas

On occasion Orthodox Christmas, PM Dimitar Kovacevski extended his greetings to the citizens and to the Archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church Stephen, wishing them good health and prosperity.

“Allow me in my personal name, and in the name of the Government of North Macedonia, to extend my greetings to you all upon this great holiday. The day on which we celebrate the Birth of Christ marks the beginning of a new year, a new window of opportunity for doing good deeds for those that are dear to us. May this holiday enlighten all homes with the light of hope and joy. I wish to all of you good health, peace and blessings. Happy Christmas,” Kovacevski wrote in his greetings.

President Stevo Pendarovski also extended his greetings and wishes for peace and health. “This year we celebrate Christmas in moments of great uncertainty, fear and human suffering, caused by wars, crises and social injustices. May God give all of us strength to overcome our challenges by demonstrating solidarity with those in pain or in need of assistance, and in this process, the Church can make great contributions for preserving and endorsing the good in people’s hearts. May there be love, peace and good health for all of us,” Pendarovski said in his greetings.

PS Talat Xhaferi wished in his greetings for families and friends to remain together in peace and harmony. “May the good spirit of Christmas unite us all in wishes for peace, happiness, good health and prosperity. In times like these, we all need to hear words of support and consolation, which is why friends and families should stick together. Let us unite in our which for creation of better future for the generations to come. Happy holidays,” Xhaferi wrote in his greetings.

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski also extended Christmas greetings to the citizens. “The birth of Christ is a symbol of hope for a better tomorrow, so let the godly spirit in your homes and in your hearts. Let us show compassion and solidarity to all those people who are still suffering in great poverty, and let’s help them to see better days. We must be united against the challenges that threaten to destroy our country, against those who promote corruption and crime. Good can defeat evil, and the citizens of Macedonia have shown many times they can make the right choice,” Mickoski wrote in his greetings.
