Politicians in North Macedonia Condemn Trump Assassination Attempt

On Sunday, PM Hristijan Mickoski condemned the assassination attempt on ex-President Trump, a presumptive Republican candidate in the November election, during a rally in Pennsylvania.

“In these moments of sadness, shock, and worry of the American people, as the PM, I most greatly condemn the cowardly assassination attempt. At the same time, I wish president Trump and those injured a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with president Trump, with his family, and with the American people,” he wrote on social media.

SDSM leader Venko Filipce, too, condemned the attempt, saying such acts of violence represented a serious attack on democratic values.

Condemnation came also from DUI leader Ahmeti, ZNAM leader Dimitrievski, and President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova.
